Justin + Shana / Orange Beach Proposal

My big brother called me two weeks ago to ask if I could come down to Orange Beach to take photos of his proposal to his girlfriend, Shana. The next week, my husband, parents, little brother, and puppy all loaded into one vehicle and made the eleven hour drive for a 42 hour stay. We lured Shana to the beach, telling her that we would be taking family photos before dinner. During one of these “family photos,” while Shana’s back was turned, Justin dropped down on one knee and pulled out the ring.

It’s pretty amazing that big brothers can go from your mortal enemy to one of your very best friends over the course of a childhood.  And now, although we are many miles apart and in very different stages of life, he is absolutely one of my best friends. I could definitely write a novel here, but I’ll save some of my mush for the wedding, and end/open by saying that I am so happy to have been able to capture this time in your life. I couldn’t be happier for you, and I love you both!
