I’m Courtney, and I am a St. Louis family photographer and newborn photographer. I always work with natural light and am inspired by tender emotions and film photography. My hope is create beautiful, timeless portraits – heirlooms that you can pass down to your babies.
I know how easy it is to put your family photos off for another day. As a mom of two little ones that is rarely found in anything but gym attire and some really wild hair. As a mom who has experienced the changing body that comes with having babies and raising them. As as mom who has experienced the utter chaos it can be to get everyone’s outfits together, get everyone ready and KEEP them ready…for the love! Believe me, I get it. But, BUT. I also know what it’s like to be brought to happy tears at photos of my sweet family returned to me. I know what it’s like to look at these natural, candid moments and be so unbelievably thankful that I just booked the session. I want so badly for my children to look back at these photos that we’ve taken as a family through the years and see me there with them, fully present, loving them. In every season.
I think it’s a misconception that the prettiest photos happen in fall. In my opinion, there is no perfect time of year for a beautiful family session. Working in the St. Louis area, I’ve had some of my absolute favorite sessions in spring, summer, fall, AND winter. Granted, in winter I work mostly with in-home lifestyle sessions.
But I say all this in the hope that no matter what time of year you might be considering, I promise it’s the perfect time! I will work with you to ensure you have images that you truly LOVE.
I’ve worked hard to make this a stress-free experience for the entire family. Upon booking, you will receive a session guide that will prepare you and answer all of your questions, give prep and outfit tips, as well as TONS of outfit inspiration. And I mean tons! I will be there every step of the way to make this easy and as stress-free as possible.
I have seen it all. I’ve worked with enthusiastic kiddos that couldn’t stop running or fussy infants that couldn’t stop crying. I promise you, we will still make magic and capture beautiul images of the whole family. Your photos do not have to be perfect to reflect who you are. The honesty is the most beautiful part!
I have all of this in mind when you book family portraits with me. It is my sincerest hope to capture images that you look and feel beautiful in – and without sounding trite – to create those warm, tender, irreplaceable heirlooms you can pass down to your babies of your love.
