We would like to book you for our wedding! How do we go about it?
It’s a super simple process! Simply decide what package that you are interested in and check with me to make sure that your date is open. I’ll send a contract and questionnaire over via e-mail that needs to be filled out, signed, and mailed back to me with your deposit (50% of the total price). And this will officially book your date!
How would you describe your photography style?
Hopefully my photos speak for themselves, but I am not your standard, traditional wedding photographer. I aim to focus on telling your story, and love capturing laughter and real moments. If I had to sum up my style, I would say photojournalistic, organic, honest. I also aim to work with natural light.
I see that you shoot mostly candid. Do you also take formal photos of wedding party and family?
Absolutely! I love honest moments, so that is mostly what you see on my blog. However, I completely understand that the posed are what our mothers and grandmothers like to frame ;). I will always set aside time for posed standard bride/groom, wedding party, and family photos. Typically, I will “set the scene” with a pose and just have people interact from there.
How will I receive my photos after the event?
You will be given the link to an online photo gallery for viewing & sharing, and you will receive a high-res DVD of edited images via mail that you are free to share and print as you wish!
Who do you recommend for printing?
While you are able to print your photos anywhere, I highly recommend printing through mpix or whcc for beautiful quality!
Can I have the all the photos and/or unedited photos taken at the event?
The answer to this will always be no, as much as I understand the want to see it all! An unedited photo is an unfinished product and not an accurate presentation of my work. But do not worry! I will not intentionally skip over photos. It’s really only unflattering faces, duplicates, bad lighting, etc. that get thrown out, so that you can receive all the best images!
How long until I receive my disc from my wedding/photo session?
Every photo that you receive is individually edited, so a little time is required. Turn around for a portrait session is generally 1 – 2 weeks. Weddings are closer to 6 – 8 weeks.
What if something happens to your camera? Will you have back-up equipment?
I definitely come prepared for any situation so that you have no worries about your photos being captured! I will always come with two digital cameras and multiple lenses, batteries, and memory cards!
Can I upload our photos to facebook when I receive the disc?
Yes please, I would love that! Just make sure to give credit in the photo captions or in the album description when you upload.
