Ashlynne + Robert

There are certain times in life when you know so fully that God set two people aside for one another. Last weekend was, hands down, one of those times. I have known of and about Ashlynne through my sweet friend, Jessica Lauren, for about two years now – and I had heard so much about Ashlynne that I felt I already knew her. Technically, until last week, we were just facebook friends; but I’ve felt like she was a “real-life” friend all the while ;) And now, after only spending a few days in with her in SC, I know I’ve made a life-long friend. Her authenticity, loving nature, easy smile, humor, and heart for the Lord just draw people to know her. I’ve watched hers and Robert’s relationship grow over social media and longed to meet this precious pair. When Ashlynne e-mailed me about shooting their wedding in South Carolina, you can bet my answer was a million times yes! I think that’s actually what I said – “A MILLION TIMES YES!”  No fluff – Ashlynne and Robert are two of the most beautiful souls that any one could ever hope to come in contact with. The love and consideration that they display for everyone in their life is something so beautiful to see; but even beyond that is the sincere/hilarious/sweet/unconditional love that the two of them share together. When you meet them, you know right away that they are two puzzle pieces that have come together – and let me tell you guys, it is an absolute joy to witness. If you saw any of my preview posts from this day, you know I’ve already been a bit sentimental about the ceremony. But just again, in all honesty, there were times that I wanted to put down my camera and praise our Creator along with all the friends/family. Tears were streaming down my face as the wedding party and guests raised their hands and praised together to “Come Thou Fount.” I watched as Ashlynne and Robert exchanged smiles meant for just each other, and then eyes to the sky to praise the Lord together. What a beginning. I love that weddings are both an ending and a beginning, and a gift so fully tangible from our Father.
